Just like any 1920s craftsman in Seattle, space is limited. Fortunately, this house came with some pretty cool features. The previous homeowner had purchased all new custom wood windows for the front of the house that were left on-site for us, polished concrete floors in the daylight basement that look awesome, and original hexagon-tile floors in the bathroom. The rest of it however, needed to go.
The actual remodel on this beauty went by pretty smoothly and the head aches didn’t start until after we listed it. Heavy rains hit the PNW and while the house was fully staged and ready to show the water came in and started flooding the basement! We immediately remedied the issue by taking it off-market and installing the proper pre-cautions to ensure it doesn’t happen again for the new homeowners. This actually worked in our favor… When we originally listed the house, it was in early winter and the market was pretty slow. By the time we got it back on the market, the market was now HOT and we sold it within days with multiple offers. Phew!
